Refining Your Search Results

You can use the links in the Refine Results box on the left side of the search results page to narrow the results.

The refining links are specific to the view:

  • In Message View, the links represent all messages in the search results.
  • In Photo View, the links represent photos in the search results.
  • In Attachment View, the links represent attachments (including photos) in the search results.

The following graphic represents the Refine Results for the Message View.

Here’s How

  1. Perform a basic search. (Remind me how.)

  2. If you want to narrow the search results to only messages with photos or with attachments, select Photo View or Attachment View.

  3. To refine the search, click a link in the Refine Results box to the left of the results.

The following example shows that you can refine the results to show messages in a specific folder by clicking the folder’s name.

In this example, you can refine the results to display messages in a specific folder by clicking the folder’s name.

The Search Results page updates to show only messages in the selected folder, and the links in the Refine Results module update to reflect the new results.
