| Introducing the Draft and Sent Folders | Saving a Message to the Drafts folder | Working With Messages in the Drafts folder | Working With Messages in the Sent Folder |
When you send an email message, by default Yahoo! Mail saves a copy of the message in the Sent folder. You can reply to, forward, and delete messages in the Sent folder.
You can also move messages from the Sent folder into other folders.
This is helpful for organizing related messages. For example, say
you’re planning a reunion. You can create a Reunion folder and move
all of the messages that you’ve sent about the event from the Sent
folder into the Reunion folder. (You can also move related incoming
email into the Reunion folder.)
Click the
Sent folder
name under Folders on the left side of the Yahoo! Mail page.

The Sent folder opens, displaying all the messages you’ve sent that you haven’t already deleted or removed.
You can reply to, forward, or delete a message. These steps are the same as those described in the Receiving and Responding to Email Messages tutorial.
Tip: Unlike other mail folders that show you who sent the message
(in the From column), the Sent folder shows who you sent the message
to (in the To column). Keep this in mind when replying to a sent message.
Because you are the sender of the message, a Reply sends
the reply to you. If you want to reply to others who received the
message, use the Reply All option.
You can move a sent message to another folder. These steps are described in the Using Folders to Organize Your Email tutorial.
Tip: You can’t move messages from other folders into the Sent folder.
If you don’t want Yahoo! Mail to save your sent messages, do the following:
If you want to save a copy of one of your outgoing messages, include your email address in one of the address boxes while composing the message. You’ll receive your copy as incoming email.
