Working With Drafts and Sent Messages

Working With Messages in the Drafts folder

As you learned in the previous task, you can save an email message in draft form in the Drafts folder. Later you can work with the message and continue saving it as a draft version. When you’re ready, open the message, make final revisions, and then send it to your recipients.

Tip: Each time you revise and save a message in the Drafts folder, a new version overwrites the previous version.

Here’s How

  1. Click the  Drafts folder name under Folders on the left side of the Yahoo! Mail page.

    Click the Drafts folder name.

    The Drafts folder opens.

  2. Click the subject of the email message that you want to open.

Click the subject to open the draft.

The message opens in the Compose page.

  3. Complete or revise the message as described in the Composing and Sending Email Messages tutorial.

  4. When your message is ready to go, click the Send button.

    Click the Send button.

Or, if you aren’t ready to send the message, save it as a draft again by clicking the Save as a Draft button.

What’s Next

You can save a draft as many times as you like, and you can save drafts of many messages. Messages remain in the Drafts folder until you send or delete them.
