Personalizing Mail Options
Yahoo! Mail is ready to use as soon as you sign up for it. But there may be a few things that you’d like to add or change about your email environment, such as adding a signature to your outgoing messages, displaying your incoming messages in a different order, or changing the color of your Mail environment.
You can make all these customizations on the Options pages.
Here’s How
In the Mail tab, click the Options link, then select Mail Options from the menu.
The General options page opens.
Take a look at the types of options on the left. You can click any of these to access the options for the specific option type.
Familiarize yourself with your customization possibilities by clicking through the list on the left.
Depending on what you click, the options display on the right side of the page or in a separate browser window.

Words to Know
- Signature: a short text file that you create (through the Options page) and Yahoo! Mail attaches to the end of your outgoing email messages. The file might contain your name, position, a favorite quote, or whatever you want to convey with every email message you send.
