Turning Social Features Off and On
If you don’t find it useful to have social features such as updates on the Yahoo! Mail Classic home page, you always have the option of turning them off.
Tip: If you turn social features off, you also turn off the ability to share your status on the home page.
Here’s How
In the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail Classic page, click the Options link, then select Mail Options from the menu.
The General options page appears.
To disable the display of social features on the Mail home page, remove the check before the Enable Updates option.
Click the Save button to save your setting.
Click the Back to Mail button to return to the Yahoo! Mail home page.
Your Mail home page now appears without social features, like this:
Tip: You might have to refresh your browser to see the changes to your Mail home page.
To turn the social features on again, repeat steps 1-4, this time checking the Enable Updates option.
