Yahoo! Mail and Your Yahoo! Contacts

To send an email to a friend, you need the friend’s email address. If this is a good friend and someone you contact on a regular basis, you probably have the email address, along with other contact information, jotted down in an address book. Trouble is, you still have to look up the address and type it into an address box while composing your message.

This is where the Yahoo! Contacts comes in. It’s the place to put all of your contact information, including email addresses. Once you do, you can easily retrieve an email address while composing a message. Learn more You can also group your contacts into Yahoo! Contacts categories so that you can send one email to everyone in the category, just like you do with distribution listsLearn more

You can access your Yahoo! Contacts from Yahoo! Mail Classic by clicking the Contacts tab.

Click the Contacts tab.

Note: Yahoo! Contacts replaces the older Yahoo! Address Book. Although it looks different, it still has all the contact information that you already added to your address book.

You can easily get to your Yahoo! Contacts through Mail, but did you know that Yahoo! Contacts is a separate product that many Yahoo! products and services, such as Yahoo! Messenger and your profile on Yahoo!, also use? Think of the Yahoo! Contacts as a central source of information for all these services, and keep it up to date.
