When you added an external account to Yahoo! Mail, you provided a name and the account’s email address. This makes it possible to send messages using that address while working in Yahoo! Mail. While composing a message, all you have to do is select the name and email address for the From box. If you reply to messages that Yahoo! Mail retrieves from this account, Mail automatically displays the account’s address in the From box.
Tip: You can set up Yahoo! Mail to send messages from any other email account, but to have Yahoo! Mail retrieve messages from that account, the account must be set up for POP3 access.
Follow the procedure for adding a non-Yahoo! email address for sending email. (Remind me how.)
Be sure that you’ve verified that you own the non-Yahoo! mail account. (Remind me how.)
Once you have verified the account, its address is added to the From pull-down menu on the Yahoo! Mail Compose page.
To send a message from an external address, do the following:
Click the New button.

In the Compose page, select the email address from the pull-down list for the From box.

Tip: If you are a Yahoo! Mail Plus user and you use disposable addresses, you'll also see those addresses in the From list when you compose a message.
When someone replies to a message that you send from the non-Yahoo! account, that reply automatically goes back to the account’s verified email address or to the account’s reply-to address, if you’ve supplied one.
