Opening Mail in a Web Browser

Yahoo! Mail is Web-based email. This means that:

  • Your mail is stored on a Yahoo! server (and not on your computer), where it’s backed up on a regular basis. So, no worries about losing messages and no limit to the number of messages you keep.

  • You can read and send email through Yahoo! Mail’s website using any Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.

  • You can read, send, and manage your email from anywhere in the world as long as you have a computer with an Internet connection.

It’s easy to open your Yahoo! Mail using a Web browser.

Here’s How

  1. Make sure that the computer you’re using is connected to the Internet.

  2. Open a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Safari, or Firefox.

  3. Type the following URL in your browser’s address box:

    mail.yahoo.com

If you haven’t already signed in, the Yahoo! Mail sign in page opens.

  4. On the sign-in page, type your Yahoo! ID and password, then click the Sign In button.

Sign in with your Yahoo! ID and password.

    Your Yahoo! Mail page opens.
