Yahoo! Mail is Web-based email. This means that:
Your mail is stored on a Yahoo! server (and not on your computer), where it’s backed up on a regular basis. So, no worries about losing messages and no limit to the number of messages you keep.
You can read and send email through Yahoo! Mail’s website using any Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
You can read, send, and manage your email from anywhere in the world as long as you have a computer with an Internet connection.
It’s easy to open your Yahoo! Mail using a Web browser.
Make sure that the computer you’re using is connected to the Internet.
Open a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Safari, or Firefox.
Type the following URL in your browser’s address box:
mail.yahoo.comIf you haven’t already signed in, the Yahoo! Mail sign in page opens.
On the sign-in page, type your Yahoo! ID and password, then click the Sign In button.

Your Yahoo! Mail page opens.

It’s a good idea to change your password periodically to keep your account and all of your Yahoo! environments secure. You can learn how to do this and update other areas of your account in the Updating Your Account Information task.
