Working With Drafts and Sent Messages

Saving a Message to the Draft Folder

Sometimes you want to save a copy of a message that you’re writing before you send it. For example, you might need to stop in the middle of the message to do something else, or you may want to capture one version of the text while you try out a rewrite. When this happens you can save the message in progress as a draft in your Draft folder. Later, you can open the message, finish writing it, then send it, or even save it to the Draft folder again.

Here’s How

  1. Open the Yahoo! Mail Compose page and begin writing your message. (See the Getting Started With Yahoo! Mail tutorial if you need help.)

  2. When you’re ready to save your unsent message, click the Save as a Draft button at the top of the Compose page.

Click the Save as a Draft button.

Yahoo! Mail saves the email message in the Draft folder and displays the folder’s contents.

Your saved message displays in the Draft folder.

Tip: A message remains in the Draft folder until you send or delete it.

What’s Next

You can open your draft email message, revise or complete it, and then send it.
