Deleting One or More Contacts

You can delete one or more contacts from Yahoo! Contacts.

 

Here’s How

  1. In the Contacts page, check the box to the left of each contact you want to delete, then click the Delete link.

    Check the box to the left of each contact, then click Delete.

    Tip: If you can’t find a contact you want to delete, use the search feature described in Searching Your Contacts.

  2. Confirm the deletion.

    Confirm the deletion.

    The contacts are moved to Deleted Contacts. All connections and category affiliations are removed for the deleted contacts. Learn more

    If any of the contacts were members of your Yahoo! Messenger List, they’re removed from the List.

Words to Know

  • Category: a group of contacts in your Yahoo! Contacts. Categories let you send the same email to everyone in a category and let you organize information by groups.
  • Connection: a person you spend significant time online with and with whom you want to share personal information. Connections have privileged access to each others’ profiles.
  • Deleted Contacts: a system category that temporarily holds contacts deleted from Yahoo! Contacts.
  • Yahoo! Messenger: an application that lets you communicate using your voice, text, or other means with one or more people over the Internet in real time (instantly).
