Removing Contacts From Categories

You can remove one or more contacts from a category while viewing the category and you can remove a specific contact from one or more categories while view her contact details.

 

Here’s How

Removing one or more contacts from a category

  1. View the category from which you want to remove contacts. (Remind me how.)

  2. Check the box next to each contact that you want to remove.

    Tip: If you want to remove all contacts, click the box at the top of the list to check all of the contacts.

    Click the box at the top of the list to select all contacts.

  3. Click the Remove From Category link on the right.

Removing a contact from one or more categories

  1. While editing a contact (or adding a contact), click the Change link to the right of Categories on the contact’s card.

    Click Change to the right of Categories.

    A list of categories opens. The categories that include the contact are checked.

  2. Uncheck the categories from which you want to remove the contact.

    Uncheck a category to remove the contact.

    Tip: You can also add the contact to a category through the Change link. Just check the box next to each category in which you want to add the contact, and then click the Done button.

  3. Click the Done button.

    Click the Done button

    The contact’s card updates with the revised set of categories.
