Subscribing to Any Public iCal Calendar

Many websites that post schedules and events, such as sports teams and theaters, make their calendars available in the iCal format. If you can locate the web address, you can add these public, view-only calendars to your Yahoo! Calendar.

Here’s How

Have the iCal address ready to be pasted or typed into the Subscribe to Calendar page. This example uses the San Francisco 49ers schedule.
  1. In Yahoo! Calendar, click the plus sign (Plus sign) to the right of Subscribed, then click the Subscribe to other calendars button in the Subscribe to calendar window.

Click the Subscribed add button and then click the "Subscribe to other calendars" button.

    The Add holidays window opens.

  2. Type the full iCal address in the iCal Address box, such as http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/sfo/ical.ics.

Type the iCal address in the box.

  3. Type a display name and select a color, then click the Continue button.

Type a display name, select a color, and then click the Continue button.

Your subscription calendar appears in the Subscribed list.

Your calendar subscription appears in the list on the left.

What’s Next
