Creating To Do Lists

If you’re like many people, you jot down the things you need to do on any available scrap of paper, and then you promptly lose it. To keep your sanity and really get things done, why not write your to do lists in Yahoo! Calendar. It’s easy and always quick to find.

To do lists appear on the right side of your Calendar where you can add new lists and new items. Your first list has been created for you and has your name as its title.

 

Here’s How

  1. The To Do panel displays when you view Yahoo! Calendar in its own window in one of the following:

    • Type this URL in your Web browser’s address box, then press the Enter key.

      calendar.yahoo.com

      Sign in with your Yahoo! ID, then click the Sign In button.

      Yahoo! Calendar opens in its own window.

    • In Yahoo! Mail Classic, click the Calendar tab to open the Calendar in its own window.

      Click the Calendar tab.

    • In Yahoo! Mail:

      • Click Calendar under Applications on the left side of the page.

        Tip: If you don’t see the Applications area, click either up-pointing arrow in the bar at the bottom of the left pane.

        Click either up-pointing arrow.

        Click Calendar in the Applications list.

      • Select Open in New Window from the Calendar’s Options menu.

        Select "Open in New Window" from the Options menu.

  2. To create a new list, click the add button to the right of the To Do label, then select New To Do List.

    Click the add button.Select "New To Do List".

  3. Type a unique name for the list.

    Type the list name.

  4. Select a color for the list.

    Select a color for your to-do list.

  5. If you want to share this list:

    • Click the Share To Do List link.

      Click Share To Do List.

      The Share Calendar / To Do List page opens.

    • Type an email address in the Email box, then click the Add to List button.

      Type an email address, then click the Add to List button.

      The address is added to the list.

    • If you want this person to be able to add to and edit this list, click the Add/Edit permission.

      Click the Add/Edit permission.

      Tip: When you give a person permission to add and edit your list, both of you can keep the list up to date and see one another’s changes. The name of the list is unique in your environment and cannot be changed by others, though they can change it in their environments.   6. Click the Save button to save your new list.

    Click the Save button.

    Your list appears in the To Do panel on the right side of the page.
