One of the great features in Yahoo! Calendar is
that you can have calendar layers and shared calendars. Calendar
layers provide a way to organize your events into meaningful and
manageable groups, and shared calendars let you and your friends
keep up to date with each other. A shared calendar can be view only
or editable so that you and your friends can edit the same calendar.
You share your calendars and subscribe to calendars shared by others.

It’s easy to add events to a calendar layer or an editable, shared calendar.
Make sure your calendars are visible by clicking
the calendars and search icon (
).

Be sure the calendar is visible by checking its box on the left of the page.

While adding the event in either the mini editor (remind me how) or the full editor (remind me how), select the calendar from the Calendar pull-down list.

Tip: If you don’t see a calendar listed, you’ve either not made it visible as described in Step 1 or it’s a view-only calendar (calendars you subscribe to). You can’t add events to view-only calendars.
Click the Save button to save the event in your selected calendar.
Adding and editing events in a shared calendar guarantees that you’re in sync with your friend’s plans.
