Quickly Adding Events

You can add an event to your calendar by simply typing the event inline in any view’s time slot. While you’re typing, you can also modify a few details, such as requesting a reminder and specifying whether or not the event is repeated. If you have an event that requires more details, you can add these later or use the full editor as described in Adding Detailed Events.

Here’s How

  1. Display the view and date in which you want to add the event. Learn more

  2. If you’re viewing your calendar by month, click the date to display the time range (day and week views always display the time range).

In month view, select the date to display the time range.

  3. Specify the time of the event in one of the following ways (this example mainly uses the month view):

    • If the event doesn’t have a defined time frame, such as a birthday, click Add All-Day Event at the top of the time range. If you’re viewing by week, click the empty cell at the top of the week’s column.
