If you don’t have the Yahoo! Toolbar installed, you can add pages to your Yahoo! Bookmarks using the bookmarklet tool. All you have to do is add the tool to your browser, and then use the tool to add pages while you browse the Web.
This tool is useful when you’re on someone else’s computer and you don’t want to install the Yahoo! Toolbar. Just remember that you can add pages using the bookmarklet tool, and you have to visit the Yahoo! Bookmarks web site to open the pages.
Go to the Yahoo! Bookmarks page by typing the following in your browser’s address box.
In the Yahoo! Bookmarks page, click the Tools link found in the upper-right area of the page.
The Tools page opens.
Under Save Bookmarks on the Tools page, click the Get Save tools now! link.
The Save Bookmarks page opens.
Under From Bookmarklet, follow the instructions for your web browser to add the bookmarklet tool to your browser.
The Bookmark it! button or link is now available whenever you want to save a page to your Bookmarks.
In a browser, browse to the page you want to bookmark.
Use the bookmarklet tool to open the Add Bookmark window by following the instructions for your web browser.
If you use Internet Explorer, do the following:
From your Favorites, locate and click the Bookmark it! link.
If you use Firefox, do the following:
In your browser’s links bar, click the Bookmark it! button.
The Add Bookmark window opens.
Supply as much information about the new bookmark as you like, then click the Save button. (Remind me how.)
You can also add pages while working in the Yahoo! Bookmarks web site.
