Using the Online Timer

Getting Started Setting a Simple Schedule Setting an Advanced Schedule Granting Additional Time

Setting Up a Simple Schedule

To set up a simple schedule, you choose how much time to allow your child to spend online each day and when during the day she may be online. The time limits are the same for every day of the week.

For example, you may want to limit your child to one hour on the Internet per day, but only want her to use that hour between the time school lets out and dinner starts. To set this up you would select:

Child’s name can be online for 1 hours per day between 3pm and 6pm.

If you don’t mind when during the day your child uses her one hour of allotted time online, select the All Day option.

Here’s How

  1. Go to the Online Timer page for the child whose schedule you want to set up. (Remind me how.)

  2. Click the radio button in front of Simple Schedule.

Select how much time and when your child can be online from the pull-down menus.Enlarge

  3. Select the number of hours that your child can be online.

  4. Select the beginning and end times for the period that your child can be online or select All Day.

  5. Click the Save Settings button to save this simple schedule.
