Setting Your Availability

Hey, are you there? Let your friends know if you’re ready to instant message or have a voice conversation.

 

Here’s How

  1. In your Messenger window, click your name, then select an option from the menu.

    Select an option from the menu.

    Your availability appears near your name in your friends’ Messenger lists. If you have Pingboxes™, visitors will see that you are either Available, Busy, or Offline.

    Tip: If you select Invisible, Messenger italicizes all of the names on your list as a way to remind you that all of your friends think you’re unavailable.
