When you added an external account to att.net Mail, you provided a name and the account’s email address. This makes it possible to send messages using that address while working in att.net Mail. While composing a message, all you have to do is select the name and email address for the From box. If you reply to messages that att.net Mail retrieves from this account, Mail automatically displays the account’s address in the From box.
Tip: You can set up att.net Mail to send messages from any other email account, but to have att.net Mail retrieve messages from that account, the account must be set up for POP3 access.
Follow the procedure for adding a non-Yahoo! email address for sending email. (Remind me how.)
Be sure that you’ve verified that you own the non-Yahoo! mail account. (Remind me how.)
Once you have verified the account, its address is added to the From pull-down menu on the att.net Mail Compose page.
To send a message from an external address, do the following:
Click the New button.

In the Compose page, select the email address from the pull-down list for the From box.

Tip: If you use disposable addresses, you'll also see those addresses in the From list when you compose a message.
When someone replies to a message that you send from the non-Yahoo! account, that reply automatically goes back to the account’s verified email address or to the account’s reply-to address, if you’ve supplied one.
