Accessing AT&T Yahoo! Mail Classic

Using a Web Browser Using the AT&T Yahoo! Browser Using the AT&T Yahoo! Toolbar Using an Email Application Forwarding Mail

Accessing Your Mail From a Web Browser

AT&T Yahoo! Mail is web-based email. This means that your AT&T Yahoo! Mail account is actually a web site residing on an AT&T Yahoo! Mail server. With your Member ID, you can access and send AT&T Yahoo! Mail messages using a web-based AT&T Yahoo! Mail client from any computer with an Internet connection and a web browser.

Use the URL http://mail.yahoo.com to communicate with the AT&T Yahoo! Mail server from a web-based mail client.

When you use a web-based mail client, your email is stored in your mailbox on an AT&T Yahoo! Mail server. None of the messages that you send or receive are stored on your local computer. The browser interface allows you to read, forward, organize, and delete email messages that are stored in your mailbox. It also lets you send email messages using your AT&T Yahoo! Mail account.

Here’s How

  1. Make sure that the computer you are using is connected to the Internet.

  2. Launch a web browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.

  3. Enter the following address in the browser’s address field and press Enter:

    http://att.yahoo.com/mail

The Yahoo! Mail sign in page appears in the browser.

  4. To sign in to your AT&T Yahoo! account, enter your Member ID (for example, username@sbcglobal.net) and password, then click the Sign In button.

Enter your Member ID and password on the AT&T Yahoo! Mail sign-in page.

Your personal AT&T Yahoo! Mail Welcome page now appears in the browser.
