General Options

When you’re signed in to AT&T Yahoo!, you can customize the Browser's look and functionality by changing the following Browser settings:

Any changes you make affect only you. Other users, even if they’re on the same computer, can specify their own Browser preferences. Your Browser preferences take effect whenever you sign in, regardless of what computer you’re using.

 

Here’s How

  1. Open your Browser, and sign in to AT&T Yahoo!.

  2. Select Browser Options from the Tools menu at the top of the Browser window.

    The Browser Options window appears with the General category selected. Each category offers a "pane" of options that you can specify to personalize your Browser. The following steps describe the General options pane.

  3. If you want the AT&T Yahoo! Browser to check whether it’s your default browser each time you launch it, check the box next to Always check...

    Click Always check to see if AT&T Yahoo! Browser is the default browser

  4. To clear the history of all URLs typed into the Address field, click the Clear URLs button. After you clear the URLs, the Browser doesn’t complete URLs that you start to enter in the Address field.

    Click the Clear URLs button.

    A message prompts you to confirm that you want to remove all URLs from the Address field.

  5. Click the Yes button.

    A message confirms that the URLs were removed.

  6. Click the OK button.

  7. To clear the history of all text typed into the Search field, click the Clear Search button. After you clear the Search text, the Browser doesn’t offer repeat search text options on the pull-down list.

    Click the Clear Search button.

    A message prompts you to confirm that you want to remove all search strings from the Search field.

  8. Click the Yes button.

    A message confirms that the search strings were removed.

  9. Click the OK button.

  10. When you finish specifying your preferences, click the OK button.

    Click OK

    You return to the Browser.
