Getting Started With the Sidebar

The browser sidebar showing mini-modules and the active module

The Sidebar appears on one side of your Browser window. It appears on the right side by default.

No matter where you are on the Internet, the Sidebar gives you access to all your favorite AT&T Yahoo! services, such as AT&T Yahoo! MailAT&T Yahoo! Messenger, or AT&T Yahoo! Photos. Each service is displayed as a Sidebar module. You can display the Sidebar on either side of your Browser window.

You can select up to six Sidebar modules to display on the Sidebar at a time. All Sidebar modules have two views—a collapsed, or mini-module view, and an expanded, or active module view. Only one Sidebar module can be active, or expanded, at a time. (For a complete description of each Sidebar module's functionality in each view, refer to the individual Sidebar module tutorials.)

Each Sidebar module, in its active or expanded state, offers an option menu that allows you to further customize the Sidebar module and perform various actions specific to its content. To display the option menu, click the >> button at the top of the active Sidebar module.

You can close and reopen the Sidebar.

Here's How

  1. Open your Browser, and sign in to AT&T Yahoo!.

Tip: If the Sidebar is not visible, click the Sidebar button in the top-right corner of the Browser window.

Click the Sidebar button to open the sidebar.

  2. Close the Sidebar by clicking the Sidebar button located in the upper-right corner of the Browser window. Open the Sidebar by clicking the same button. (Alternatively, you can select Hide or Show from the Sidebar menu.)
