Getting Started With the AT&T Yahoo! Sidebar in IE

The AT&T Yahoo! Sidebar

You can use the AT&T Yahoo! Sidebar in the Microsoft Internet Explorer just as you do in the AT&T Yahoo! Browser with only a few exceptions. The Sidebar appears on the left side of your Internet Explorer window.

No matter where you are on the Internet, the Sidebar gives you access to most of your favorite AT&T Yahoo! services, such as AT&T Yahoo! MailAT&T Yahoo! Messenger, or AT&T Yahoo! Photos. Each service is displayed as a Sidebar module.

Tip: The History Sidebar module is available in the AT&T Yahoo! Browser only, not in Internet Explorer.

You can select up to six Sidebar modules to display on the Sidebar at a time. All Sidebar modules have two views—a collapsed, or mini-module, view, and an expanded, or active module, view. Only one Sidebar module can be active, or expanded, at a time. (For a complete description of each Sidebar module's functionality in each view, refer to the individual Sidebar module tutorials.)

Each Sidebar module, in its active or expanded state, offers an option menu that allows you to further customize that Sidebar module and perform various actions specific to its content. To display the option menu, click the >> button at the top of the active Sidebar module.

You can close and reopen the Sidebar.

Tip: If your Sidebar looks different, you probably have an earlier version, and the information in this tutorial does not apply. To upgrade to the latest version, go to http://att.software.yahoo.com and follow the instructions for downloading and installation.
