Sending Your Message

When you are satisfied with your message, send it to your contacts.

Here’s How

  1. On the new message tab, click the Send button.

    Click the Send button.

AT&T Mail sends your message to the people listed in the address boxes and displays a confirmation message.

A message confirms that the message was sent.

  2. Click the OK button to return to your Inbox.

By default, all the messages you send are saved in the Sent mail folder.

Messages you send are stored in the Sent folder.

For more about the Sent folder, including how to turn off the automatic saving of sent messages, see Working With Messages in the Sent Folder.

What’s Next

If you aren’t ready to send an email message, you can save it as a draft in your Drafts folder. You can also save a draft, and then send the message keeping a copy in the draft folder. To learn more, check out the Working With Drafts and Sent Messages tutorial.

Note: At this time, AT&T Mail doesn’t support assigning priorities to the messages you send or requesting a read receipt (that is, notification that your message has been received and/or opened).
