Printing Your Address Book

From your Yahoo! Address Book, you can print contact information in a variety of formats including mailing labels.

Note: Mailing labels aren't printed for contacts in your address book that include only email, phone, and/or instant messaging information.

Here’s How

  1. In the Contacts tab, click the Printable Address Book link found on the right above the list of contacts.

Click the Printable Address Book link.

The Printable Address Book page opens.

  2. Select a Print option to print contact information for your entire Yahoo! Address Book or for one category of contacts, such as your family members.

You can select a category to print.

  3. Select a layout option. The choices are:

    • Detailed—prints all Address Book information about each contact.

    • Basic—for each contact, prints only the name, nickname, Member ID, company, email address, and primary phone number.

    • Avery 5162 two-column mailing address labels

    • Avery 5160 three-column mailing address labels

Notes about printing mailing address labels:

You can print labels for contacts that include mailing address information. Mailing labels aren't printed for contacts in your address book that include only email, phone, and/or instant messaging information.

If a contact has both home and work address information, Yahoo! Address Book creates one mailing address label for each address.

You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to preview and print mailing address labels from Yahoo! Address Book. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download it for free at www.adobe.com or by clicking the Get Adobe Reader link on the Printable Addresses page.

  4. To preview the contact information to be printed, click the Display for Printing button.

Click the Display for Printing button.

The next steps depend on the print layout option you’ve chosen.

  5. If you’ve chosen Detailed or Basic: Yahoo! Address Book displays the contact information to be printed in your browser window. After you review the information, click your browser’s Print button to print it.

    Click the browser’s Print button.

  6. If you’ve chosen a mailing labels option: Yahoo! Address Book creates a PDF file for the mailing labels. In the File Download window that appears, click Open to open Adobe Acrobat to view and print the mailing labels or click Save to save the PDF file on your computer to print later.

Click the Open or Save button.

  7. To print the labels, click Adobe Acrobat's Print button.

    Click Adobe Acrobat's Print button.
