Using the Add Contact button, you can add detailed information for a new contact.
In your Yahoo! Address Book, click the Add Contact button.

The Add Contact page opens.
Type at least one of the following: the contact’s full name, nickname, email address(es), or Messenger ID (for Yahoo! users, this is the same as the person’s Member ID) all found in the Primary Information section, or a phone number found in the Phone section.
If you’ve typed the Messenger ID and would like to add this person to your Yahoo! Messenger List, click the box to the right of the Messenger ID. You can also add the person to one or more categories by selecting them from the list or creating a new category.
Type additional information in the remainder of the form if you like.
Tips:
If you have more than one email address to add, save the new information, and then edit the contact. You’ll see another box below the first email address.
In most sections of this page, you can click the Hide link to collapse the information or Show to expand it.

Click the Save button to return to the Yahoo! Address Book, or click the Save and Add Another button to save the contact information and begin adding another contact.

Note: If you’re adding this contact to your Yahoo! Messenger List (in the Primary Information section), a page opens after you save where you can indicate which Messenger group this contact should be listed in.
If you have information about a contact that you’d like to add but don’t see a place for it in the form, you can type it in the Notes section. If the information is something you’d like to include with quite a few of your contacts, such as "partner", you can create custom information fields that always display in the Add Contact form. Take a look at the "Adding Custom Information Fields" task to learn how.
