Adding a Tab

Tabs provide a way to organise your content into meaningful groups. When you first opened My Yahoo!, we gave you your first tab, My Homepage, filled with content based on your location and interests. You can delete and add content to this tab, and you can also add your own tabs and fill them with content that you like. For example, you could have a "Celebrities" tab that includes blogs and news about today’s well-known people and a "Jokes" tab that brings you your favourite comic strips and joke of the day. You can have up to 9 tabs.

Here’s How

  1. Click the New Tab button found to the right of the tab bar.

    Click the New Tab button.

Tip: If you don’t see the New Tab button, you’ve most likely met your limit of nine tabs. You’ll have to delete a tab before you can add a new one.

A window displays letting you know that you’ve added a new tab.

  2. Complete the addition by clicking the OK button.

    Click the OK button.

Your new tab is added with Name this tab highlighted so that you can give it a new name.

    A new tab is added.

  3. Replace Name this tab with a meaningful name, then press the Enter key.

Type a new name, then press the Enter key.

    Your new, blank tab opens.

  4. Personalise your new tab.
