What Are Applications in Yahoo! Mail
Applications enhance your Yahoo! Mail experience in a variety of ways. You know all of those photo attachments you’ve collected in your Inbox? Now you can manage them with the Edit Photos application right in Yahoo! Mail! Start the Yahoo! Calendar application and your schedule is immediately available. There are so many possibilities.
Yahoo! has developed some applications (like Calendar and Notepad), while others come from third-party developers. Applications display in the Applications area below your mail folders. Here you’ll find pre-installed applications and the standard Calendar and Notepad applications. You can add and remove applications as you like (except for Calendar and Notepad).
You can hide or show the Applications area and you can resize the area so that all or most of your applications are visible.
Note: Available applications vary depending on your location.
Here’s How

To hide the Applications area, click either down-pointing arrow in the bar above the Applications label.

To open the Applications area, click either up-pointing arrow in the bar at the bottom of the left pane.
Tip: You can also double-click the bar to hide or show the area.

To resize the Applications area, place the cursor over the bar (not on an arrow), click and drag the bar up or down.
