Yahoo!7 Mail lets you see any new emails from your contacts (that is, people in your address book) right away, without having to wade through all the other junk in your Inbox first. You can check on these high priority messages in two places:
To view unread messages from your contacts on the Mail home page:
Go to your Yahoo!7 Mail home page.
Near the top of the page, look for the area titled Recent Unread Messages from Contacts, which appears if you have any unread messages from contacts in your Inbox.

Your new messages are listed by sender, showing each message’s subject and timestamp.
Notes:
If you don’t see the Recent Unread Emails from
Contacts area on your What’s New tab,
that means you have no unread messages from contacts in your Inbox
folder.
If you use filters to
sort incoming mail messages into folders,
messages that go into folders other than the Inbox aren’t listed
in the Recent Unread Emails from Contacts area.
Learn more about using filters here.
To read a specific message, click its subject.

The message opens on a separate tab in Yahoo!7 Mail.

To view all messages from your connections or contacts:
In the Inbox (or in any other Yahoo!7 Mail folder), you can filter the messages displayed through the Show menu.
Select Emails from Connections to see only emails from your connections.

Select Email from Contacts to see only emails from your contacts (that is, people already in your address book).

Select All Emails to see all emails in that folder.

Besides sending you email, your connections can also keep in touch using updates.
