What's in the Clicks to Pages by URL Report?
Use the Clicks to Pages by URL report to display (by page URL) how visitors navigate into your web site to reach key pages. Yahoo! Web Analytics defines the number of pages visited prior to visiting a specific page as ‘clicks to pages’. This is a measure of your web site’s complexity. High averages in clicks to pages may indicate a need to analyze the navigation of your site. For each page URL, the report displays the following metrics:
- the number of visits
- the average number of clicks
Information Displayed in the Report
By default, this report displays a graphical illustration of the hierarchical structure of the number of visits and clicks a page gets, by URL. The level of detail that displays in the graph is based on selections in the settings panel. It also provides a table that displays the number of visits to a specific web page along with the average number of clicks a visitor takes to get to a web page for the first time in a visitor session.
