What's in the Bounce Rate of All Visits Over Time Report?

Use the Bounce Rate of All Visits Over Time report to show the bounce rate of all visits as it trends over time. Bounce Rate is the percentage of entries on each page of your web site that resulted in an exit from that page without getting any deeper into the site. For each period, the report displays the following metrics:

  • Entries - The total number of visits during the selected period.
  • Bounces - The total number of visits that ended without proceeding further into the web site.
  • Bounce Rate - The average number of visits that did not proceed further into the web site after entering it. Calculated by dividing the Bounce number by the Entries number.

Information Displayed in the Report

By default, this report displays a graphical illustration of the entry page URL associated with bounces from your site. The level of detail that displays in the graph is based on selections in the settings panel. It also provides a table that displays the number of entries, the number of bounces and the bounce percentage rate of all visits as it trends over time.
