Click the Installation tab to generate and set up the code that you use for your Yahoo! Web Analytics projects.
To get started
- Choose the site for which you wish to install tracking code from the pulldown menu.
- Choose whether the code is for a secure or non-secure page.
- Copy and paste the generated tracking code directly above the closing HTML </body> tag on every page you want to track.
If you use site-wide templates, you can also add this code to the appropriate template page for your site.
- The generated JavaScript tracking code is the bundle that you embed on your site. For some functionality, such as tracking sales actions and purchase amounts, you'll need to customize it as described in the Installation Guide.
- The JavaScript (.js) include file contains the second part of the tracking code. Due to the nature of the JavaScript language, this code doesn't access your web server.

You have several options when you use this interface:
- Choose your web hosting setup (either manual or one of the listed shopping solutions).
- Specify whether you use an HTML editor, and if so, which one.
- Choose whether the code is for a secure or non-secure page.
- Download the generated JavaScript file, and copy it to your web server, placing it in the specified location.
- Copy and paste the generated tracking code directly above the closing HTML </body> tag on every page you want to track.
If you use site-wide templates, you can also add this code to the appropriate template page for your site.
