The data grid toolbar contains a variety of methods that can be used to further modify the report details displayed on your page. These methods include:

Segments

Use segments to define a set of metric and dimension criteria that capture a set of users that meet selected criteria. Segments can be based on criteria such as referrer, domain, demographics etc. Saved segments can be used to generate standard and custom reports.

For more information, see the Segment Types Guide.

Filters

Filters let you filter out display of certain elements that have been returned for the specified report. For example, you might start by generating a report for bounce rate, then further filter those results to display only visitors from the U.S. who also clicked on an organic search result.

You can use multiple filters to help you focus on the most relevant report results.

For more information, see Applying Filters to Reports.

Events

This options lets you display calendar events that fall within the reporting period. Calendar Events are used for keeping track of events that might impact your web site’s metrics, such as website changes, public holidays, marketing campaigns, or system outages.

For more information see Displaying Calendar Events in the Reports Page.

Color Coding

The color coding feature highlights results within a report that are below or above certain thresholds with red (bad) and green (good).

For more information see Color Coding your Report Information.
