Use the Ad Group General Information page to enter an ad group name and to turn the ad group status, optimization, and watch list on or off.
Ad Group General Information Settings
Ad Group general information settings include:
Ad Group Name—Enter a name to identify your ad group. The ad group name must be unique within a campaign.
Ad Group Status—Turn your ad group on or off. If you need to pause an ad group for any reason, set Ad Group Status to Off, resolve the issue, then set Ad Group Status to On to restart the ad group.
Optimize Ad Display—For ad groups that employ the Sponsored Search tactic, turn ad display optimization on or off. Ad display optimization finds your top-performing ads based on guidelines you provide, and deactivates any ads that significantly underperform. If you enable analytics and tag your web site, you can optimize for metrics like conversions and revenue; impression and click metrics are always available.
Watch List—Add or remove the ad group from your watch list by selecting Yes or No from the Watch List field. You can view your watched ad groups in the Dashboard page. You can also filter lists of ad groups using the watch flag in several campaign pages.
