Splitting an Ad Group into Separate Tactic Ad Groups
If the selected ad group is using both the Sponsored Search and Content Match tactics, then you will see the Split Ad Group button. Clicking this button opens a series of windows that guide you through splitting the ad group into separate tactic ad groups so that you can manage your Sponsored Search ads separately from your Content Match ads.
When you split your ad group into separate tactic ad groups, the system creates two copies of the current ad group so that you can use one for Sponsored Search and the other for Content Match. When these ad groups are created, they function like two new ad groups but contain the same ads as the original ad group. During the split process, you name these new ad groups so that you can identify them separately from your original ad group. Your original ad group remains in the system for historical purposes but is automatically paused.

Click the Campaigns tab and then the Ad Groups link. The Ad Groups page opens. (Alternatively, if you want to access ad groups under one specific campaign, you could click only the Campaigns tab. Two features that are available in the Ad Group Details page but are not available in the Keywords page are the move keywords and the copy keywords features. When you move or copy keywords from one ad group to another, they inherit the bid that you have set for the ad group that is receiving the keywords.
