This joint research project between Yahoo! and Compete, Inc. finds that consumers using search to shop for apparel on average spend more time at retail sites, are more engaged with the site (such as enlarging images and signing up for emails), and exhibit a higher conversion rate. The study also shows how search influences offline purchases, and includes recommendations for leveraging these important findings.
