As long as your site and/or keywords do not contain sensitive content, you can typically sign-up using our online sign-up tool in a relatively short period of time. The tool walks you through five main steps to complete the sign-up process. Once an account has been established, you will have the ability to work with additional options.
The online sign-up process includes targeting your ad, choosing keywords, setting your bids and budget, creating your ad, and activating the ad. You can access the online sign-up tool from our Yahoo! Small Business Advertising site and by clicking on the Sign Up button.
Once you have completed the online signup process, your account will consist of one campaign with a single ad group, one ad with a title description and URL, and up to 50 keywords—all sharing the same bid that you set. You should think about the best way to make your ad group relate to a specific “theme” in your business. For example, if you sell electronics products, such as televisions, Mp3 players and cameras, you may want your ad group to be ‘plasma televisions.’ Some of your keyword terms might include “hd plasma televisions,” “lcd plasma televisions,” “'Brand A' plasma televisions,” and “42-inch plasma televisions”. The ad you create will display for all of the keywords in your ad group. The bid you set should align with your marketing goals and budget. When you log into your account for the first time after signing up, you will have the opportunity to create additional campaigns, ad groups, keywords and ads.
