Sponsored Search and Content Match feature cost-per-click pricing--you’re only charged when your ad is clicked (instead of every time it is displayed), allowing you to maximize your return-on-investment. The amount you’re actually charged each time your ad is clicked depends on two things: your bid and your ad’s quality.

• Your bid – You’ll never be charged more than the bid you’ve specified.
• Your ad’s quality – Ads with high quality are more appealing to users and can be displayed more prominently. Ads with a high quality index are charged less for any given position than ads with a low quality index, so you’re rewarded with better pricing when you focus on making your ads as relevant to users as possible.

There is no minimum monthly spending obligation or contract required when you advertise with Yahoo! Search Marketing. You determine how much you spend each month by setting a bid and daily spending limit, and you can turn off your advertising and stop your spending at any time.

If you’re not sure how much to spend, you can use the estimating tools provided during the sign-up process to help determine the bid and daily spending limits that are right for you. For every bid and daily spending limit you enter, you’ll be provided with an estimate of your ad’s rank (the order in which it may appear, relative to other ads) on the results page.

To activate your ad, you’ll need to deposit funds into your account, which will be used to pay for your initial click charges. You choose the amount of the deposit (minimum $30).
