Define your shipping classes in the "shipping-class" field of your product feed. Add the header "shipping-class" to your feed if it is not already there, then enter a shipping class for each product. Shipping class names can be up to 15 alphanumeric characters. For example: DVD, CD, Computers, Home, and Other.

After you have uploaded a product feed with shipping-class data and it has been processed (this may take up to 24 hours), you should see all the shipping classes you created listed in the Tax and Shipping Rules section of your account.

When creating or editing Shipping Rules, you will only be able to select between "All products" and the shipping classes you defined in your product feed. It is not possible to create a rule for just the products without a defined shipping-class, so if you choose to include shipping-class data in your feed, please do so for all your products.
