How do I exclude certain products from Yahoo! Shopping?

You can exclude products from Yahoo! Shopping by taking them out of your product feed.

Yahoo! Merchant Solutions Customers

To exclude any product in your catalog from Yahoo! Shopping:

  1. Go to your Catalog Manager and select the "Manage Your Tables" page.
  2. Locate the "Shopping Fields" table and click "Edit."
  3. Add the "in-yshopping" field from the drop down menu if it isn't already there.
  4. Click "Update" and then "Save."
  5. Go to the "Manage Your Items" page and click on the individual product you want to exclude from Yahoo! Shopping.
  6. Locate the "in-yshopping" field and select "No" from the drop down menu.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for all of the products you want to exclude from Yahoo! Shopping.
  8. Publish your Catalog.

Note: If the "in-yshopping" field is set to "Yes" or you have not added this field to your table, your products will automatically be included in Yahoo! Shopping.

Yahoo! Store Customers

To exclude any product in your store from Yahoo! Shopping:

  1. Go to your Store Editor.
  2. Locate the product and click "Edit."
  3. In the "Caption" field, enter "<!--nosearch-->"
  4. Click "Update."
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each product you wish to exclude.
  6. Publish your Store.

Note: The excluded products will most likely get categorized and will appear in the "Product Status Report" under 'accepted products'; however, the products themselves will not appear live in Yahoo! Shopping.

ProStores Customers

Currently, there is no way to exclude individual product from Yahoo! Shopping.

New! With the launch of a bidded marketplace in Product Submit, there is yet another way to exclude your products in one or more categories from Yahoo! Shopping: Set your current bid for each category you want to exclude to $0.00 (or any value less than the minimum bid for each category).

Please Note: Your current bid for a given category is effective for all products in that category. Therefore, setting a bid below your minimum required bid for a category to appear in Yahoo! Shopping will take all products in that category offline.
