I am logged into the FTP server, but my transfer keeps failing. What should I do?

If you are logged into Yahoo!'s FTP server, but your transfer keeps failing, make sure you are:

  • Logged into ftp.productsubmit.adcentral.yahoo.com using the correct Yahoo! ID. If you see an error that says, "Login failed," you most likely logged into the FTP server with the wrong Yahoo! ID. Make sure you are using the Yahoo! ID associated with your Product Submit account.
  • Uploading to the correct directory (\your Merchant ID.)
  • The FTP program is set to transfer in ASCII and "passive" format. If you see an error that says, "Can't create data socket," you most likely need to set your FTP program to "passive" mode.
