Below is a description of each column in the bid feed:
- category_name: This pre-filled column is the list of all categories where you have inventory. For example, if category “Shoes” has two subcategories, “Hiking Boots” and “Running Shoes” and if you have inventory in only “Running Shoes”, then, your bid feed file will only show “Running Shoes”. The fully qualified name is always shown. So, using the above example, you’ll see “Shoes>Running Shoes” in the category_name field.
- bid_value: This is the field where you enter your bid (no dollar sign needed! Just a decimal point, e.g., 0.75 or 1.25). Since each row in the file represents a specific category, your bid (entered in the bid_value column) affects only the products in that category.
Please Note: Entering 0 (zero) or any value below your minimum bid for a category will take all the products in that category offline (not appear in Yahoo! Shopping). See description of “min_cpc” column below for more details. Also, after the first successful upload, when you download a bid feed, this column will contain your most current saved bids.
- n_products: This pre-filled column lists the counts of all products as categorized into each listed subcategories. A bid for a given subcategory affects all your products within that subcategory.
- min_cpc: This pre-filled column lists your minimum required bid for each listed subcategory in order for your products to go live (appear in Yahoo! Shopping). Click here to learn more about minimum bids
