We have expanded the number of categories from 61 to 1200+. To help give you more control over the bidding process, a user interface has been created which allows you to place custom bids on all 1200+ categories. However, to simplify the process for those who want to place bids quickly, you may also place bids on higher-level categories. When you bid on higher-level categories, the same bid will apply to all subcategories within that category. Many merchants may wish to bid at high-level categories and place custom bids at the subcategory level to help maximize traffic and ROI.
