The Bidding preferences determine the process you'll use to participate in the new Yahoo! Product Submit Bidded Marketplace. Each preference can be altered at any time.

Here's a short description of each preference:

• Bid Via Interface - Choose this option to set bids for your product categories and subcategories via the Bidding Interface in the Yahoo! Product Submit Tool. To access the bidding interface, click the "Place Bids" from the header at the top of the My Account page.

• Bid Via Feed - Choose this option to set bids for your product categories by uploading a Bid Feed. To upload a Bid Feed once you’ve selected this option, choose the "Place Bids" link from the header at the top of this page.

  Please note: you can switch between the Bid Via Interface and Bid Via Feed options at any time.

• Go Live with Minimum Bid - Choose this option to automatically set the default bids for your product categories to the minimum required bid for each category. Your product(s) will go live (appear in Yahoo! Shopping) as soon as your product feed is successfully uploaded and processed. Bids below your minimum will not appear in Yahoo! Shopping.

  You can modify your bids at any time, either through the Bidding Interface or by uploading a Bid Feed. Any bids you set will override the default bids, so you have control over your bids.

• Set Bids Manually - Choose this option to always manually set bids for your product categories. When setting bids manually, your products will not go live (appear in Yahoo! Shopping) until you set bids for each of your product categories, even if your product feed is uploaded and processed successfully.

  Given the delays this can cause in having your products go live and the time and overhead involved in always setting bids manually, this may not be the best option.

  Please note: You can switch between the Go Live with Minimum Bids and Set Bids Manually options at any time.
