Unacceptable Content

As part of our commitment to provide the highest quality online experience, we may not accept ads containing or relating to certain products or services. These products or services include, but are not limited to, those covered in the policies listed below. Yahoo! reserves the right to reject or remove any ad at its discretion at any time.

Alcohol We will not list offers that promote, sell or facilitate the sale of Alcoholic beverages.
Beating Drug Tests We will not accept ads for offers that appear to facilitate the evasion of drug laws, such as ways to "beat" a drug test.
Bypassing Copyright Protection We will not accept ads for offers that offer or promote software that bypasses copyright protection.
Cable Descramblers We will not accept ads for offers of products that descramble cable and satellite signals in order to get free cable services.
Counterfeit Products We will not accept ads for offers of counterfeit, fake or bootleg products.
Data Collection We will not accept ads for offers whose primary purpose is the collection of personally identifiable information to be used for consumer or promotional marketing, or related purposes. Nor will we accept ads for content that links to or redirect to such offers.
Defamatory, Libelous, Threatening We will not accept ads for defamatory, libelous or threatening offers. If the discussion contains racial or religious epithets, advocates doing physical harm to people or their property, or if it is unquestionably false on its face, we may decline such offers. We may also decline offers that advocate against any individual or group.
Drugs We will not accept ads for offers that appear to facilitate the distribution, use or cultivation of illegal substances, substances of questionable legality or substances whose primary purpose seems to be recreational mind alteration.
Fake IDs We will not accept ads for offers of fake IDs or education transcripts.
Online Gambling

We do not accept ads for sites that have online gambling as their central theme. Among such sites are those that accept wagers or require payment in exchange for the chance to win prizes, as well as sites that offer both information and links related primarily to the promotion of online gambling.

If it comes to our attention that an offer is soliciting users to participate in online gambling (including, without limitation, through email correspondence with users), we will terminate that listing.

Pharmaceutical Products

We will not accept offers that have pharmaceutical products as their main theme. This includes offers that sell prescription drug products, as well as offers that offer information or links related primarily to the sale of prescription drugs.

Prostitution We do not wish to be associated with ads, offers or keywords that suggest the availability of prostitution services.
Suffering and Violence We will not accept ads for offers that advocate, glorify or promote the following:
  • Rape
  • Torture
  • Human cannibalism
  • Human suffering or death
  • Graphic or violent images (such as those showing blood or dismemberment)
Tobacco We will not accept:
  • Content selling or advertising only tobacco products or offers having a main focus on tobacco products.
  • offers that have links to tobacco pages cannot be listed on the Yahoo! Search Marketing mobile network.
Traffic Tickets We will not accept ads for content that offers products or promotes ways to evade traffic tickets.
Weapons We will not accept ads for content that offers automatic weapons, military-style assault weapons, or integral parts for these weapons.
Areas of Questionable Legality In addition to the policies listed above, we will not accept ads for offers of products or services of questionable legality. For example, Cuban cigars, falsely obtained passwords, pyramid schemes, non-FDA-approved HIV home test kits etc.

We strive to ensure the highest-quality search experience. Therefore, we may not accept listings that relate to certain products or services. We reserve the right to decline or remove any listing at our discretion at any time.

Please submit sites, phone numbers and logos that do not violate our Unacceptable Content Policy.
