Each Yahoo! account includes an accompanying set of Yahoo! Marketing Preferences that allow you to manage the marketing communications you receive from Yahoo!.

Prior to March 2002, Yahoo! offered only one communication choice that was presented during the registration process. This choice encompassed both marketing communications from Yahoo! about Yahoo! products and services, as well as messages from our advertising partners through the Yahoo! Delivers program.

In March 2002, we added 13 new categories of communications that relate to Yahoo! products and services. At the same time, we separated the Yahoo! Delivers program, our vehicle for third-party special offers and promotions, into a distinct category. We also added two new choices with respect to the method by which we contact you—a postal mail and a telephone category—and displayed the information that you entered in your Yahoo! Account Information.

We centralized all of these choices on a page called your Yahoo! Marketing Preferences, which is accessible from links in your Yahoo! Account Information and the Yahoo! Privacy Center, among other locations on the Yahoo! network.
