Laptop users who live on the edge of their battery's capacity might find this Widget useful. Its color ranges from green to red as recharging or plugging in becomes more urgent.

The dock icon also shows the percentage of charge remaining. Optionally, you can click the Widget to have it show you the percentage and the time remaining for a full charge. This option is set in Preferences.
