What's in the System Menu?

To open the menu, do one of the following:

  • Right click the two-gear icon in the Windows system tray opposite the Start button at the bottom of the desktop.
  • Click the two-gear icon in the OS X menu bar.

Click a menu item from the following:

Open Widget Lists the Widgets you can open. Click one to display it on your desktop. You can also use the window to navigate to another folder where you have downloaded a Widget.
Recent Widgets Lists the Widgets you've used. Click Clear Menu to reset the list.
Get More Widgets Opens the Gallery Browser Widget. See What is the Yahoo! Widget Gallery Widget? for more information.
Open Dock
Close Dock
Shows or hides the Yahoo! Widgets Dock.
Heads Up Display Turns on the Heads Up Display that shows all the Widgets currently on your desktop.
Widget names Click a name of a widget to display it over other windows.
Widget Preferences Opens a sub-menu of currently open widgets. Click a Widget's name to open the Preferences window for it.
Preferences Opens a window for setting controls for the Yahoo! Widgets and the dock .
Check for Updates Opens a window that either verifies that your Yahoo! Widgets installation is up-to-date or provides update options.
Help Opens a browser for displaying Yahoo! Widgets help.
Send Feedback Opens a browser form where you can tell us about Yahoo! Widgets.
Product Tour Opens a browser for a presentation about Yahoo! Widgets, especially its new features.
About Yahoo! Widgets Opens a window providing version information, links to more information, and credits. Click the window to close it. This item is at the top of the OS X menu.
Sign In
Sign Out/Change User
Opens a window for providing your Yahoo! ID and password.
Quit Yahoo! Widgets Shuts down Yahoo! Widgets.
