Here are instructions for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh OS X 10.3 or later.

Microsoft Windows

Choose Preferences from the gear menu of the dock or the system tray icon. In the General tab, clear Launch Yahoo! Widgets at startup and click Save.

This removes the shortcut Yahoo! Widgets application from C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.

Apple Macintosh OS X 10.3 or later

1. Click on the Apple icon in the top left of the screen.
2. Open System Preferences.
3. Click Accounts.
4. Choose your account in the list.
5. Click Startup Items or Login Items.
6. Select Yahoo! Widgets in the list.
7. Click the subtract (minus sign) button at the bottom.
