How do I make Yahoo! Widgets run when I login to my machine?

Here are instructions for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh OS X 10.3 or later.

Microsoft Windows

Initially, Yahoo! Widgets is set to run after you log in to Windows. That's because the Yahoo! Widgets installer adds a shortcut to the Startup Folder in your Start Menu—C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.

If you remove this shortcut, you can restore it. Choose Start > Programs > Yahoo! Widgets > Yahoo! Widgets. After Yahoo! Widgets launches, choose Preferences from the gear menu of the dock or the system tray icon. In the General tab, select Launch Yahoo! Widgets at startup and click Save. This restores the shortcut Yahoo! Widget application to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.

Apple Macintosh OS X 10.3 or later

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left of the screen.
  2. Open System Preferences.
  3. Click Accounts.
  4. Choose your account in the list.
  5. Click Startup Items or Login Items.
  6. Click +.
  7. Choose from the Applications folder Yahoo! Widgets and click Add.
